This opportunity seeks skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support K-12 students across multiple schools within a public school system in Memphis, Tennessee. The assignment is a full-time contract role lasting through the end of the 2025-2026 school year. The position offers direct, on-site work supporting students from Pre-K through 12th grade with a variety of speech and language needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and assessments
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reports in compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Provide direct therapy services to students across diverse age groups
Required Qualifications:
- Active Tennessee Department of Education certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Tennessee Board of Health license in speech-language pathology
- Experience working with school-aged children across various grade levels
- Strong knowledge of special education procedures and compliance requirements
Location and Work Environment:
This role is based in Memphis, TN, with assignments potentially spanning multiple schools within the district. The position requires 35 hours per week onsite with no remote or hybrid options available.
