School Speech and Language Pathologist | Converse, Texas
A dynamic opportunity is available for Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) ready to make a meaningful impact in diverse school settings. This contract role based in San Antonio, TX, offers the chance to serve K-12 students across three schools, including an elementary campus and a young women’s leadership academy. The position involves working with a caseload of approximately 80-100 students, supported by Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students.
- Prepare for and actively participate in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings.
- Supervise and support SLPAs in delivering quality services.
- Provide additional testing and assessment support as required.
- Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Texas SLP license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, with hours logged.
- Ability to work with K-12 students across multiple campuses.
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Previous school experience is beneficial.
Assignment Details:
- Start Date: ASAP; End Date: May 29, 2026.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- On-site presence required at multiple San Antonio schools.
- Caseload includes diverse age groups from kindergarten through 12th grade.
