School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Converse, Texas
This contract position offers an opportunity for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide critical support to middle school students in grades 6-8. You will serve approximately 100 students across two campuses on an itinerant schedule, helping to address a variety of speech and language concerns in a public school setting. This maternity leave coverage role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to manage your caseload effectively while collaborating with school staff.
Location and Schedule:
- On-site assignment in San Antonio, TX
- Two middle schools: Garner Middle School and Wood Middle School
- Part-time, approximately 30 hours per week
- Contract duration: March 31, 2026 to May 29, 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct intervention services to students with speech and language impairments
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student success
- Maintain accurate documentation according to school and state guidelines
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology
- Current professional license to practice
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly middle school students
- Ability to manage an itinerant caseload across multiple school sites
- Background check and fingerprint clearance
