About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced and highly independent Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) seeking a rewarding full-time leave coverage role for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year? We're actively seeking a self-motivated SLP to join our team in the Columbus, OH area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on student communication development across various age groups, serving a diverse caseload from Elementary to High School.
This role requires a confident and autonomous practitioner, as you will be responsible for managing services. If you thrive in a setting where you can leverage your expertise and work independently while collaborating with school teams, this position is for you!
Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive speech and language services to a varied Elementary to High School caseload, addressing a wide range of communication needs including articulation, phonology, language (receptive and expressive), fluency, voice, social communication, and pragmatic skills.

Conduct thorough evaluations, interpret assessment results, and write compliant reports for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Develop and implement evidence-based therapy plans tailored to students needs across various developmental stages and academic levels.

Deliver direct and indirect therapy services in individual, small group, and classroom-based settings across three assigned, co-located school sites.

Collaborate effectively and proactively with teachers, parents, special education staff, and other school personnel to integrate communication goals into daily learning and classroom activities.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, therapy sessions, and IEPs, adhering to district and state guidelines.

Participate in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights and recommendations.

Adapt therapy activities and strategies to suit the diverse needs and learning styles of students from elementary to high school.
Qualifications

Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Valid and active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License in the state of Ohio is REQUIRED.

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is REQUIRED.

Significant and strong school-based experience with diverse age groups (Elementary to High School) is highly preferred.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage a caseload across multiple sites, and prioritize effectively.

Strong understanding of the IEP process, special education law, and school-based service delivery models.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

A genuine commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments and empowering students to reach their full communication potential.

Reliable transportation for easy travel between closely located school sites.
