Virtual SLP Opportunity - Columbus, OH
Position Description
Provide specialized speech and language services to students with communication disorders using virtual service delivery methods. Your clinical skills will address articulation challenges, language processing difficulties, fluency disorders, and social communication needs through creative, technology-enhanced interventions.
Work with students ranging from early childhood through high school, adapting therapy approaches to meet developmental needs and learning styles. Collaborate with educational teams to integrate communication goals into academic programming and daily school activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations to determine eligibility for services and establish appropriate goals. Develop individualized therapy programs incorporating current research and best practices. Deliver direct therapy services through interactive virtual sessions using engaging digital tools and activities.
Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes. Consult with teachers and staff regarding communication supports and classroom strategies. Provide parent training and education to enhance home practice opportunities. Attend IEP meetings and contribute expertise to educational planning processes.
Required Credentials
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field from accredited institution. Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Current Ohio speech language pathology license. Minimum of two years experience providing speech therapy in educational settings.
Strong technical skills and comfort with virtual platforms and software applications. Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration abilities. Experience working with diverse student populations. High-speed internet access and professional home office environment.
