Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers (SPED) for a full-time role with partner school districts in the Columbus, NE area. This is an exciting opportunity for educators dedicated to helping students with diverse learning needs achieve academic success in supportive environments.
Position Requirements:

Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate with a Special Education endorsement, issued by the Nebraska Department of Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred)
-
Authorization to work in the United States
-
Successful completion of a background check and fingerprint clearance
-
Previous school-based experience preferred but not required
Typical Responsibilities:
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique needs
-
Deliver direct instruction in both resource and inclusive classroom settings
-
Modify general education curriculum and provide accommodations to support student success
-
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
-
Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and compliance with IEP goals
-
Participate in IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and team planning
