Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist – School-Based Role in Columbus, NE
Blazer Jobs is currently conducting interviews for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in the Columbus, Nebraska area. This is a full-time position focused on supporting students’ speech and language development to improve academic and social success.
Minimum Qualifications:
All applicants must meet state and local certification requirements to be considered:

Hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited university
-
Possess a current and valid Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) license in Speech-Language Pathology
-
Hold a Nebraska Department of Education Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology
-
Must have prior experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist, preferably in a school setting
-
Must complete and clear a criminal background check, child abuse clearance, and fingerprinting as required by the Nebraska Department of Education and the school district
-
Must comply with district-specific onboarding requirements
Candidates who do not meet all requirements will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students’ speech and language needs
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines
-
Deliver therapy services to students individually or in small groups
-
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
-
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student development
-
Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team planning
