Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) – Full-Time School-Based Position
Location: Columbus, GA 31906 | 2025–2026 School Year
Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time, school-based position supporting students in Columbus, Georgia. This role is onsite, working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist during the 2025–2026 school year.
About the Role
The SLPA will support the delivery of speech and language services to a diverse K–12 caseload by implementing treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP. This position is ideal for an SLPA who enjoys working collaboratively in a school environment and is committed to helping students build functional communication skills that support academic success.
Key Responsibilities

Implement speech and language treatment plans as directed by the supervising SLP

Provide therapy services to students individually and in small group settings

Collect data and document student progress toward IEP goals

Assist with preparation of therapy materials and instructional supports

Collaborate with school staff, families, and the supervising SLP to support student outcomes

Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education guidelines
Qualifications

Active Georgia SLPA license or registration

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited SLPA program

Previous school-based experience preferred but not required

Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed SLP
