Pediatric Speech Therapist in Columbia, SC
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Irmo, SC, working with an elementary school population of students from 4K through 4th grade. This position offers a blend of support for general education students focusing on articulation and language skills, as well as those requiring moderate to significant special education assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
- Develop individualized goals tailored to each student's needs
- Lead and actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students on a consistent basis
- Maintain accurate documentation and prepare progress reports to monitor student development
Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- South Carolina Educator Certification is required
- Experience with pediatric speech-language pathology in school settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies suitable for elementary aged children
- Ability to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals
Details:
- Location: Irmo, SC
- Student Population: Elementary students (4K–4th grade)
- Employment Type: Contract for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year
- Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, onsite
