Speech Language Pathologist in Coal Center, PA
Seeking a motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to support students across multiple school settings for the upcoming academic year. This full-time, onsite position is perfect for a professional eager to make a meaningful difference in student communication and academic success. The assignment spans August 13, 2026, to June 9, 2027, and involves serving schools in Washington and Greene counties. Initial training is scheduled for August 13th, 14th, and 17th at a central campus, with a regular workweek beginning when students return on August 20th.
The daily role requires flexibility and reliable transportation, as travel among Bethlehem-Center Elementary, Fort Cherry Elementary, and a school in Waynesburg is integral. Enthusiasm for collaborating with a multidisciplinary team is essential for success in this contract position.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or equivalent
- Current SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- PA SLP Educator Certificate (required)
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Outstanding interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to equitable, evidence-based support for diverse learners
- Ability to commute comfortably among listed school locations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to a varied caseload
- Conduct student evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement IEP goals with individualized therapy plans
