Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist in Lorain, OH

A part-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support a K-5 caseload in a K-12 school located in Lorain, OH. This contract role runs from ASAP through the end of the school year and focuses exclusively on students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The position offers 6 hours per week in direct service time, accompanied by 60 compensatory minutes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services tailored to students with ASD.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and picture communication systems.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to address student communication and behavioral needs.
- Maintain documentation and compliance with school and district policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience working with pediatric populations, specifically in school settings.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students on the autism spectrum.
- Skilled in administering and adapting AAC devices and picture communication strategies.
- Experience managing caseloads that include behavioral components.
- No clinical fellowship (CF) requirement.
