Speech and Language Pathologist in Clermont, FL
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide support at an elementary school serving PreK through 5th grade students. This contract role spans from late February through the end of May, offering an opportunity to work within a collaborative environment alongside an existing SLP.
Location:
- On-site in Clermont, FL at an elementary school
Responsibilities:
- Serve a diverse caseload of approximately 60-65 students, ranging from PreK to 5th grade
- Address various speech and language needs, including general education speech/language impairments, intensive support spectrum, intellectual disabilities, developmental delays, and support for students using communication devices
- Share responsibilities and collaborate closely with a current SLP, working within a shared large room to facilitate mutual support and coordination
- Provide services 2 to 3 days per week, totaling 15-20 hours weekly
Qualifications:
- Professional licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, including a valid Florida Department of Health license
- Open to candidates with 0-2 years of experience, including Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) therapists—support will be provided for CFYs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with young children with varied speech and language needs
- Experience with or willingness to learn to support students who use communication devices is a plus
