Pediatric Speech Pathology - Jersey City, NJ
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with New Jersey licensure (CF or CCC) is needed for a contract position based in Clark, NJ, serving a school setting. This role focuses on providing special education speech and language services to preschool-aged students.
The position entails delivering individual and group therapy to approximately 30 preschool students with special needs. The work schedule is four days per week, from 8:45 AM to 3:25 PM, during the extended school year (ESY) with an immediate start date.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey SLP Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) credential
- Experience working with pediatrics, particularly in school-based settings
- Ability to provide services to preschool students with diverse special education needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educational teams
- Must provide on-site services
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing and treating speech and language disorders in preschool children
- Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans and goals
- Collaborating with educators and families to support student progress
- Maintaining accurate records in compliance with school policies and state regulations
