A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is sought for a travel position serving two school sites located near Clanton, AL. Position Details:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Contract duration: ASAP through 5/22/2026
- Two school locations approximately 40 minutes north of Montgomery and one hour south of Birmingham, Alabama
- Travel assignment providing services in educational environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for school-aged children
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support communication goals
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes in compliance with school policies
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech-language impairments
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) credentials
- Experience working in school settings with pediatric populations
- Familiarity with clinical fellowship year (CFY) requirements (for SLPs, if applicable)
- Knowledge of healthcare and pediatrics speech-language pathology principles is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills suited to educational environments
