School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Citrus Heights, California
A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a full-time position supporting K-12 students in a California school district from December 1, 2025, through June 12, 2026. This contract role serves as a backfill for an existing caseload, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in academic settings.
Location:
- Citrus Heights, CA (Sacramento area)
Position Details:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
- Caseload of approximately 50-65 students
- Contract duration coincides with the current school year: December through June
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality speech-language pathology services to students across K-12 grades
- Monitor progress and update individualized education plans (IEPs) to ensure compliance and student achievement
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities
- Provide timely and thorough progress monitoring, addressing any service backlogs
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with families and school personnel
Qualifications:
- Current California Speech-Language Pathology license
- Valid California Educator Certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in school settings with children from diverse backgrounds strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and special education regulations
