Comprehensive Bilingual Programming
- K-12 speech-language evaluations for Spanish-speaking students
- Culturally responsive articulation and language intervention design
- Bilingual fluency and voice therapy services
- Communication accommodations for English Language Learners
- Students with speech delays, language disorders, and autism from diverse backgrounds
Professional Responsibilities
- Administer and interpret bilingual speech-language assessments
- Develop comprehensive evaluation reports with cultural considerations
- Provide virtual individual and group therapy in preferred languages
- Collaborate with bilingual special education and general education teams
- Support communication goals within positive behavior intervention systems
- Navigate legal and ethical considerations in bilingual SLP practice
- Engage Hispanic/Latino families in collaborative communication planning
Required Credentials
- Graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current ASHA CCC-SLP certification
- Active Ohio Department of Education speech-language pathologist license
- Fluency in Spanish and English (all modalities)
- 2+ years of direct school SLP experience with ELL populations
- Training in bilingual assessment and intervention practices
- Cultural competency with Hispanic/Latino communication development
- Strong technological and cross-cultural communication skills
