A certified Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for a full-time, on-site contract position serving a K-8 school district in Calumet City, IL. This role offers an opportunity to work with students from early childhood through 8th grade, delivering essential speech and language therapy services within a vibrant educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in grades EC-8.
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
- Experience working in school settings with K-8 student populations is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and staff.
- Ability to work on-site full-time (33.75 hours per week); this is not a virtual or teletherapy position.
