Speech Therapist in Calumet City, IL
An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students from early childhood through 8th grade in Calumet City, IL. This contract position provides a chance to make a meaningful impact in a school setting while working onsite to deliver critical speech-language services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students ranging from early childhood to 8th grade
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators and families to support students’ communication goals
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the student’s educational planning
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Speech-Language Pathologist licensure from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Experience working with children in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong assessment, evaluation, and communication skills
- Ability to work onsite full-time (33.75 hours per week), no virtual or telepractice options
