SLP in Cicero, IL
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a school setting in Calumet City, IL, to provide essential speech and language services to students from PreK through 8th grade. This full-time, onsite position is available for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will hold an Illinois SLP License and Professional Educator License (PEL), as well as ASHA certification (CCC-SLP).
Key Qualifications:
- Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist License and Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Experience with speech-language services in school settings (PreK-8)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in educational environments
Location:
- Position based onsite in Calumet City, Illinois
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for students from PreK to 8th grade
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in parent meetings, school team meetings, and professional development activities as required
