Speech Therapist in Calumet City, IL
A Speech Language Pathologist is needed to provide essential services in a PreK to 8th-grade K-12 school located in Calumet City, IL. This full-time contract position extends through the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year, offering an onsite opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' communication development and educational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language assessment, intervention, and therapy to students from PreK through 8th grade
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on evaluation data and student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to support students’ communication goals and inclusion in the academic environment
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to provide speech-language expertise and ensure continuity of care
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Illinois Speech Language Pathologist License and Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience working in a school setting preferred, with an understanding of educational protocols and individualized education program (IEP) processes
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students, families, and school staff
