Speech Language Pathologist in Cicero, IL
A Special Education Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school serving K-8 students with social/emotional disabilities. This in-person role supports fully verbal and independent students, providing speech therapy in alignment with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Location: Cicero, IL
Job Type: Contract
Duration: August 18, 2025 – June 2, 2026
Hours: 35 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to approximately 30 students on caseload.
- Provide 120 minutes of direct therapy monthly per student, typically divided into 30-minute weekly sessions.
- Collaborate with special education staff to support the individual needs of students.
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress and IEP compliance.
- Participate in team meetings and parent communication as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required.
- Experience working with K-8 students, especially those with social/emotional disabilities, preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
