A licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized services within a K-12 therapeutic center in Joliet, IL, supporting students with speech and language needs during a contract position for the remainder of the school year. This role involves working with a diverse caseload that includes diagnostic evaluations and a smaller early childhood caseload in the afternoons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct diagnostic speech and language evaluations to identify student needs and develop intervention plans.
  • Deliver direct speech therapy services to Early Childhood (EC) students twice weekly in the afternoons, serving approximately 9-10 students.
  • Allocate time for comprehensive report writing and documentation according to district standards.
  • Participate in meetings to collaborate with educational teams, parents, and related service providers.
  • Provide services on-site at the therapeutic center; virtual service delivery is not available.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid state certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Eligibility for or possession of Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
  • Experience working within school-based settings, particularly with children in K-12.
  • Familiarity with Early Childhood speech-language intervention is a plus.
  • Ability to manage a caseload consisting of diagnostics and direct services efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to maintain thorough documentation and collaborate effectively.

Location and Work Setting:

  • On-site role based at a therapeutic center serving students in the Joliet, IL area.
  • Contract employment for the remainder of the current school year.
