Speech Language Pathologist in Chicago, IL

A contract position is available for a skilled bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) fluent in Spanish, providing essential support to students in a school setting. This role is based in Chicago, IL, and offers an opportunity to work with young learners from pre-kindergarten to first grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech therapy services to PreK-1 students, focusing on both group and individual sessions.
- Provide bilingual support in Spanish to effectively communicate and engage with students and their families.
- Conduct sessions on a consistent schedule:
- Monday: 12:50 PM – 1:20 PM (two students together)
- Friday: 1:50 PM – 2:20 PM (individual session)
- Friday: 2:20 PM – 2:50 PM (individual session)
- Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school policies and state regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish to support bilingual speech therapy.
- Experience working with early childhood populations (PreK-1) in educational settings.
- Ability to work independently and manage a contract-based schedule.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills appropriate for school environments.
