A contract opportunity is available for two Speech Pathologists to support an elementary school setting in Chicago, IL. This role involves working with diverse student populations, including those in Supported Education, Multi-needs, and speech-only caseloads. Candidates should hold certification as an SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist), preferably with School-Based credentials (SLP - School) or a Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP - CCC).
Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver speech therapy services to students within the elementary school
- Support students with varying needs across Supported Education, Multi-needs, and speech-only groups
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in line with school policies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success strategies
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification (CCC and/or school-based licensure preferred)
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly in an elementary setting
- Strong knowledge of speech and language developmental milestones and disorders
- Ability to manage multiple caseloads efficiently (1.5 caseloads expected)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Schedule and Contract Details:
- Full-time (1.0 FTE) shifts are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:40 PM, totaling 37.5 hours per week
- Contract duration for full-time is ASAP through May 22, 2026
- Opportunities for part-time work are available on a temporary basis until March 27, 2025
- The position is based in Chicago, IL, servicing an elementary school environment
