Pediatric School-Based SLP | Joliet, Illinois
This opportunity is ideal for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a strong commitment to supporting students in a K-12 educational setting. The role is based in Joliet, IL, and offers a contract position covering a maternity leave from February through May 27th. Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy, particularly within school settings
- Familiarity with Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) requirements or recently completed CFY
- Skilled in delivering speech-language services in healthcare environments and school-based programs
- Ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans to support K-12 students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement therapeutic interventions tailored to individual educational plans
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities related to speech-language pathology in schools
