A K-12 school district in the Naperville, IL area is seeking experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for maternity leave coverage contracts within a cooperative that delivers specialized education services across multiple districts. Assignments are located in several nearby elementary and junior high schools, supporting students with autism and intellectual disabilities in Structured Learning Environment (SLE) classrooms.

Positions will begin between late January and early February 2026 and continue through the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. These full-time roles (35–37.5 hours per week) entail managing caseloads of 3-4 self-contained classrooms per SLP. Each classroom consists of approximately 6-8 students requiring speech therapy services within a specialized learning setting.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Endorsement
  • Active Illinois Speech License
  • Experience working with students with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities preferred
  • Eligibility as Certified Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) SLPs and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) considered
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with interdisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized speech and language therapy in alignment with IEP goals
  • Monitor and document student progress effectively
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and specialists to support student development
  • Maintain compliance with district and state regulations for special education service delivery
