Pediatric School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Lisle, Illinois
A specialized opportunity is available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to provide vital maternity leave coverage within a collaborative special education cooperative serving multiple districts in Illinois. This contract role is designed for professionals passionate about supporting children with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities in structured learning environments.
Location: Multiple Elementary and Junior High Schools in the Lisle area, including Clarendon Hills, Willowbrook, Downers Grove, and Westmont, IL.
Position Details:
- Duration: Approximately January 26, 2026 through June 5, 2026 (dates vary by assignment)
- Hours: Full-time, typically 35 to 37.5 hours per week
- Caseload: 3-4 self-contained classrooms per SLP, each with 6-8 students enrolled in Structured Learning Environment (SLE) programs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy services to elementary and junior high students with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities
- Collaborate with educators and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with program and state standards
Required Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Endorsement
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License
- Candidates with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates, and SLPAs are encouraged to apply
Preferred Experience:
- Previous work in pediatric school settings or healthcare environments serving children with special needs
- Familiarity with Structured Learning Environment (SLE) programs and related interventions
