Pediatric School Speech Therapist | Chicago, Illinois
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for a self-contained elementary program in Chicago, Illinois. This contract role begins November 1 and continues through the remainder of the school year. The SLP will provide both direct and indirect speech and language therapy services to students requiring communication support within a school-based setting.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy to elementary students in a self-contained classroom.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to promote student progress.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation, including therapy session notes, evaluations, and progress reports.
- Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to goal setting and planning.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active Illinois SLP license.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
- Experience in school-based or pediatric speech-language pathology settings is advantageous.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills.
