A reputable elementary school in Chicago, IL is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized support during a leave assignment. This contract position offers an opportunity to work within an educational environment, supporting students’ speech and language development while employing evidence-based interventions tailored for the school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for elementary-aged students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports consistent with school policies
- Support students with articulation, voice, fluency, and language disorders in both group and individual sessions
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working as an SLP in school settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech-language developmental milestones and educational protocols
- Ability to build effective rapport with children and work collaboratively with education teams
- State licensure or eligibility to practice in Illinois
