Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Chicago, IL
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within a K-12 school setting near North Naperville, IL (Warrenville area). This contract position offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload of students primarily diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual Disabilities, delivering crucial assessment and therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct speech-language therapy to students ages 5–22 years old
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments
• Develop and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
• Monitor and document student progress consistently
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary educational and clinical teams
• Travel between multiple school sites as an itinerant therapist to maximize service delivery
Qualifications and Certifications:
• Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License (SLP or Clinical Fellow status)
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Experience working with school-aged populations, particularly students with ASD and/or Intellectual Disabilities preferred
• Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and strong communication/documentation skills
• Successful fingerprinting and background check clearance required prior to start
Work Schedule and Contract Details:
• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• Contract duration: Immediate start through May 22, 2026
• Paid travel time between school sites included
