School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Chicago, Illinois
A professional opportunity is available for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide specialized services in a K-12 educational setting in the Chicago, IL area. These contract-based roles are focused on supporting student development through assessment, goal planning, IEP meetings, and direct therapy services within school programs.
Positions Available:
- Full-time role at District 7, from 10/13/2025 to 2/13/2026
- Part-time role (3 days/week) at Lake Park East, from 11/10/2025 to 3/20/2026
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive student assessments to identify speech and language needs
- Developing and implementing individualized goals aligned with IEP requirements
- Collaborating in IEP meetings to support student progress and compliance
- Delivering direct speech-language therapy services across multiple school programs
- Managing itinerant services with paid travel time; mileage reimbursement inquiries recommended
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois State SLP licensure from ASHA is required
- Demonstrated experience working with children in school settings
- Ability to manage caseloads including elementary, early childhood, ALSP, SSP, and transition programs
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and students
