Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: South Chicago, IL
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support a school district in South Chicago, IL. This is a contract role split between two school sites, offering the opportunity to work closely with students, staff, and families in multiple settings. Renewal opportunities may be available based on performance while on contract.
Position Requirements:

Must meet all state and local licensure requirements for Speech Language Pathology in Illinois

ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
-
Previous school-based experience strongly valued
-
Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred
-
Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
Typical Job Duties:
-
Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students’ speech, language, and communication needs
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with IDEA requirements
-
Provide direct therapy services to students individually and in group settings
-
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary staff across two school sites
-
Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required service documentation
-
Attend and participate in IEP meetings and team planning sessions
