A school-based speech-language pathologist (SLP) position is available for bilingual professionals fluent in Spanish and English. This full-time role supports elementary students across two nearby school buildings, providing valuable speech and language services to enhance student communication skills.
Location: Chicago, IL (Romeoville area)
Duration: August 11, 2025 – May 22, 2026
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, contract position
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students in elementary school settings
- Collaborate as an integral member of the speech team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, document progress, and communicate regularly with educators and families
- Travel between two school buildings within close proximity, facilitating consistent therapy sessions
- Support diverse learners with culturally and linguistically responsive practices
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a speech-language pathologist
- Bilingual proficiency in both Spanish and English is essential
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in school settings
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to engage with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage a caseload independently and efficiently
