Pediatric School Speech Therapist | Chicago Heights, Illinois
An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support early childhood education at a school located in Chicago Heights, IL. This full-time, contract position spans the current school year, with an immediate start and completion by the end of the school year.
Responsibilities include managing a caseload of no more than 60 students, ranging from preschool through first grade. The caseload will involve addressing various disabilities commonly encountered in a public school setting, requiring strong pediatric SLP skills. The role requires onsite presence Monday through Friday, with typical working hours from 7:25 AM to 2:50 PM, except Tuesdays when hours extend until 3:35 PM.
Key qualifications needed:
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement
- Experience working with early childhood populations in school settings
- Ability to provide services aligned with public school students’ needs
- Familiarity with diverse speech and language disabilities
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is desirable
- Credentials like Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology are advantageous
