Preschool Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Near Chicago Heights, IL
Soliant is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district near Chicago Heights, IL. This full-time position serves preschool-aged students (3-5 years old), including At-Risk and IEP students. The district is open to an immediate start or a spring start with the potential for an extension into the next school year (NSY). The selected candidate will work alongside a collaborative and supportive team.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in preschool students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to support communication needs
- Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance student development
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, evaluations, and treatment plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal planning
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet the needs of early learners
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Illinois
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with a speech endorsement
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; CFs may be considered
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
