Role Summary
As an SLP in Chesapeake, VA, you will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students. You will collaborate with educators, families, and IEP teams to ensure each student receives the support they need to succeed academically and socially.
Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
• Provide training and communication strategies to support staff
Requirements (Virginia)
• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Valid Virginia state licensure (ASHA CCC required)
• School-based experience preferred
