This full-time Speech Language Pathologist opportunity is available at an elementary school in Toms River, NJ, serving PreK through 3rd grade students. The position offers a contract through the current school year with services beginning ASAP, ideally by March 27. This role is dedicated to providing speech therapy services to a classroom of 25 to 30 students and is open to candidates with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), or Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) credential, specifically those interested in school-based settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech-language pathology services to students identified with communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs and educational goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reports.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to promote student success.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development.
Qualifications:
- Eligible candidates include Speech Language Pathologists with CCC, CFY candidates, or SLPA credentials focused on schools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children and school personnel.
- Familiarity with speech therapy techniques appropriate for young learners (PreK – 3rd grade).
- Ability to provide services during the scheduled hours of 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, totaling 35 hours per week.
- Willingness to join a contract lasting through the current school year.
