Speech Language Pathologist in Hixson, TN
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support elementary-aged students in a contract role through the current school year, located onsite in Hixson, TN. This opportunity involves delivering comprehensive speech and language services within an elementary school setting, directly contributing to students’ communication development and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to elementary school students
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine student needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams through meetings and consultations
- Manage caseload assignments typically ranging from 1 to 3 campuses based on student needs
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in accordance with state and district guidelines
Qualifications:
- Active Tennessee Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Current Tennessee Department of Education (DOE) certification
- Experience working with elementary school-aged populations preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively manage caseload and schedules
