Travel School Speech Language Pathologist - Charleston, South Carolina
An opportunity is available for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in Charleston, SC through a travel assignment in local schools. This role begins immediately and continues through late May 2026, with a unique assignment split between two elementary schools.
The position will initially be based at an elementary school serving general education students, resource students, and two Low Incidence programs. Following this assignment, there is a planned transition to another elementary school where coverage for a maternity leave is required. The caseload there will similarly include a combination of general and specialized students, including Low Incidence and Low Incidence/Austism Unit groups.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive speech-language pathology services in an educational setting
- Collaborating with educators, therapists, and families to develop and implement individualized plans
- Maintaining compliance with state licensure and educator certification requirements
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions accordingly
- Supporting students with diverse communication needs within a school-based caseload
Qualifications sought:
- Active South Carolina state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (no pending licensure accepted)
- Active South Carolina educator certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required; Clinical Fellows and SLP Assistants are not eligible
- Experience working with school-aged children, with preferred ranges from entry-level up to over 10 years
