Speech-Language Pathologist in Charleston, SC
An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students from 6th through 12th grade in a K-12 school setting. This contract position runs from ASAP through June 12th and is located in Charleston, SC. The role involves working in a middle and high school environment, providing specialized speech therapy services to support student communication and academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to students in grades 6-12
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to implement effective communication strategies
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required
- Manage a caseload in accordance with district guidelines and schedules
Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) preferred
- Experience working with school-aged children, ideally grades 6-12
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders
- Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate with diverse stakeholders
Work Details:
- Location: Middle / High School setting in Charleston, SC
- School Hours: Approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Contract Duration: Current School Year, ending June 12th
