Job Overview
This is a full-time, school-based travel role within a Charleston-area district. You’ll provide direct therapy, collaborate with educators and families, and support students’ communication goals. Assignments typically follow the academic calendar, with opportunities for extension or reassignment.
What Does a Travel Contract Mean?
Travel SLP contracts are temporary assignments, often lasting a semester or full academic year. These roles allow you to bring your expertise to districts needing support, while receiving non-taxed housing and meals/incidental stipends, competitive pay, and the chance to live in a new city. Contracts may be extended or renewed; when one ends, you can choose a new location for your next assignment.
Responsibilities

Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations per district guidelines

Develop and implement IEP goals

Deliver therapy in individual and group settings

Monitor student progress and maintain documentation

Partner with teachers and parents to support communication strategies

Participate in IEP meetings and team planning
Requirements

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

South Carolina SLP licensure (or eligibility before start)

CCC-SLP preferred; CFY applicants welcome

Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is a plus

Strong organizational and communication skills
