A full-time opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to support a K-12 school setting in Chaparral, NM. This contract position offers a consistent 40-hour workweek over the contracted school year (CSY).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification (SLP – CCC preferred)
- Experience working within school-based settings, preferably K-12
- Strong skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders in children
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with educators and families
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students across the K-12 spectrum
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into the educational setting
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development as required
