Speech Language Pathologist CFY in Smyrna, GA
Step into a rewarding opportunity working with middle and high school students as a Clinical Fellow in Speech-Language Pathology. This full-time, school-based contract position is ideal for a passionate SLP-CFY eager to develop hands-on experience in a supportive and collaborative educational setting. Set in the lively region near Smyrna, GA, you’ll be instrumental in helping students enhance their communication skills and reach their academic goals.
Your commitment will cover the 2026-2027 academic year, from July 27, 2026, to May 28, 2027, working at a single school site with a caseload between 45-55 students. The district values flexibility and is working to finalize specific site details and student's caseloads, ensuring you can make a lasting impact where it’s needed most.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Completion of or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship
- Valid state licensure, including GA PSC credential and an active ASHA certification
- Required: Fingerprinting and drug screening for credentialing purposes
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Prior experience in a school setting (internships or practicums welcome)
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with educational teams
What You'll Do:
- Provide targeted speech and language therapy to middle and high school students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Attend meetings and participate in ongoing professional development
