Employment Type: Contract (Full-Time)
Hourly Pay: $43-$48/hour (based on experience and certification)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct and consultative speech-language services to students in a K–12 school setting in Sarasota, FL for the 2025–2026 academic year. The SLP will work collaboratively with educators and support staff to assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders that impact educational performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to determine student eligibility for services

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on IEP goals

Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress and generalization of skills

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals and accommodations

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and state requirements

Monitor and report on student progress toward goals

Provide consultative support to staff regarding speech-language development and strategies for classroom success

Adhere to ethical and professional standards as established by ASHA and the school district
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology

Current Texas SLP license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred, but Clinical Fellows will be considered

Experience working in a school setting preferred

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
