A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting, located approximately 30 miles west of Houston, Texas. This position specifically seeks candidates who are completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or who hold licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with experience in school environments.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for Speech-Language Pathologists
- Hold current licensure or certification as an SLP
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong assessment and intervention skills for pediatric speech and language disorders
- Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting evaluations and assessments of students’ speech and language abilities
- Developing individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ needs
- Providing direct therapy services to students within school environments
- Documenting progress and maintaining compliance with educational standards
- Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborating on student goals
- Liaising with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student development
