Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program (or within final semester)
- Eligibility for, or current holding of, Texas licensure for CFY status
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to student advocacy
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Effective independent time management and organization skills
- Passion for serving diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students on your caseload
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and participate in eligibility determination meetings
- Collaborate with educational teams to design and implement individualized intervention plans
- Communicate progress to students, families, and staff; make recommendations as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with school, state, and federal guidelines
- Participate in professional development and seek mentorship opportunities as a CFY
