Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Schedule: Full-Time (Part-Time may be considered)
Position Summary:
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services for students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders. The SLP works collaboratively with educators, families, and other professionals to support student success across academic, social, and functional areas.
Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate and assess students suspected of having speech and/or language impairments using standardized tools and observational data.

Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that reflect students' strengths, needs, and evidence-based goals.

Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other service providers to integrate communication goals into the classroom environment.

Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals; adjust treatment as needed.

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP and eligibility conferences.

Maintain accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.

Provide education and training to staff and families on communication development and support strategies.
Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

Current or eligible Delaware state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) welcome

Knowledge of IDEA and special education procedures

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
-
Previous school-based experience preferred but not required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or externship experience in a clinical setting.
- Experience working with a diverse client population.
