School Speech and Language Pathologist | Olympia, Washington

A K-12 school district in Olympia, WA, is seeking two Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide in-person services supporting students from elementary through secondary levels. This contract position is for the current school year and involves working directly within the school buildings to replace existing remote contractors.
Position Details:
- Location: Olympia, WA
- Contract duration: Current school year (CSY)
- In-person work only
- 37.5 hours per week
- Hourly compensation: $50-$60
- Supporting two school sites:
- One elementary school serving grades K-6 across two buildings approximately 3 miles apart
- One secondary school serving grades 7-12 with two buildings located within a half-mile of each other
- Existing schedules are in place, with reasonable flexibility to adjust as needed
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech-language services
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student communication goals
- Provide direct therapy services in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with school-age children K-12
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work on-site at assigned school locations
- Familiarity with educational testing and IEP processes
