School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Cedar Creek, Texas
Make a real difference in students’ lives by supporting communication and learning as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract assignment. Two full-time opportunities are available—one for a bilingual SLP—to provide essential speech and language services in a collaborative school-based environment. This assignment is in the Bastrop, TX area and offers the chance to help students succeed in both their academic and daily lives.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Texas
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but those completing CFY are welcome to apply
- For the bilingual SLP position: proficiency in English and Spanish and ability to deliver services in both languages
- Previous experience in school settings is a plus
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide direct therapy services individually and in group settings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation in a timely manner
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise on speech-language development
- For the bilingual SLP, deliver comprehensive services in both English and Spanish
