A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school setting in Carmel, IN, offering a contract-to-hire opportunity for the current school year (CSY). This role is ideal for SLP professionals holding either a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
This position requires 37.5 hours per week and involves working across two buildings located approximately 3.5 miles apart. The caseload includes students from kindergarten through 6th grade, divided as follows: K-4th grade students on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (23 students), and 5th/6th grade students on Tuesdays and Thursdays (28 students).
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech-language assessments and delivering therapy services
- Writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and comprehensive reports
- Coordinating and participating in meetings with staff and parents
- Completing evaluations and maintaining accurate documentation
- Managing Medicaid billing processes
Qualifications and desired experience:
- SLP certification—either SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY status
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children (K-6)
- Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently
- Strong organizational skills for managing IEPs, evaluations, and related paperwork
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
