Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Canton, MI

Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Valid or eligible state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience in school-based settings, with knowledge of IEP process and student documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and parents
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive educational practices
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders for elementary students
- Manage diverse caseloads across multiple buildings, including up to 50 students in some settings
- Provide specialized support within a Functional Classroom for Intensive Support (FCIS)
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address each student’s needs
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated services
- Maintain accurate, timely records and participate in meetings and professional development
