Located in Canton, GA, this full-time role offers a unique opportunity for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide maternity leave coverage within a school setting. Serving elementary-aged students, the position runs from early to mid-March through the end of the school year in late May.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Deliver high-quality speech-language assessments and interventions tailored to elementary-aged children.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and district guidelines.
- Support students' academic and social communication development through individualized therapy plans.
- Adhere to all standards and practices required by the Georgia Department of Education and the school district.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Georgia DOE certification and Georgia SLP license.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
- Ability to manage caseload and documentation in a timely and efficient manner.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and evidence-based therapy.
- Note: Candidates with SLPA credentials are not eligible for this position.
Position Details:
- Location: Northern Atlanta area, with placements in Acworth and Woodstock.
- Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Duration: Maternity leave coverage from early-mid March through May 22, 2026.
- This is an onsite role—travel to assigned school locations is required.
