Located in Canton, GA, this full-time role offers a unique opportunity for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide maternity leave coverage within a school setting. Serving elementary-aged students, the position runs from early to mid-March through the end of the school year in late May.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality speech-language assessments and interventions tailored to elementary-aged children.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and district guidelines.
  • Support students' academic and social communication development through individualized therapy plans.
  • Adhere to all standards and practices required by the Georgia Department of Education and the school district.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Georgia DOE certification and Georgia SLP license.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
  • Ability to manage caseload and documentation in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and evidence-based therapy.
  • Note: Candidates with SLPA credentials are not eligible for this position.

Position Details:

  • Location: Northern Atlanta area, with placements in Acworth and Woodstock.
  • Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • Duration: Maternity leave coverage from early-mid March through May 22, 2026.
  • This is an onsite role—travel to assigned school locations is required.
